Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dosu Joseph, has charged the national team to ensure victory against Swaziland today November 13, 2015, adding that Nigerians will be delighted.
In a telephone chat with Naij.com sports, the 1996 Olympic gold medalist explained that the game against the Sihlangu Semnikati is very crucial.
He said: “They should try to win. This game is a very important one and I wish them the very best today.”
The Badagry-born lanky keeper is also pleased with the invitation of Obafemi Martins and Kelechi Iheanacho to the team.
“Recalling Martins back to the team is a very good one from Sunday Oliseh. Martins is very experienced and his return will inject the needed experience the younger ones need. He personally said it too that he is happy to be with the younger ones.
“I also hope Iheanacho will start today’s game. He has been doing fine at Manchester City and hopefully, he will replicate his form with the national team,” he concluded.
Dosu Joseph was the only home based player that was included in Nigeria’s 1996 Olympic team, where despite being the least experienced of the three goalkeepers ended up as the team’s first choice goalkeeper.
