Boko Haram Insurgents Destroy 50 Houses, Kill Four

Boko Haram terrorists on Saturday, November 28 raided a border village in Niger, destroying some 50 homes and killing four people.

Two people were said to have been injured during the raid, Vanguard reports.

Speaking to state television on Monday, Fougou Boukar, a local official from the restive Diffa region said: “There has been enormous damage with about 50 houses burnt.

“The Boko Haram members were armed with Kalashnikovs and came across the Komadougou Yobe,” river that divides Niger and Nigeria.

He added that the terrorists numbering 10 fled to Nigeria after the attack.

Hundreds of distressed villagers were shown on the state television praying in memory of the victims.
Some of them displayed scores of empty cartridges they had gathered after the attack.

Boko Haram insurgency has left millions of people homeless and at least least 17,000 people dead.
At the weekend, the insurgents reportedly killed seven persons, including a soldier in a raid in both Bam and Gajigana villages of Biu and Magumeri local government areas of Borno state.
