He was said to have died in Yola on Friday, November 27, after a brief illness, Sahara Reporters reports.
Olabisi Alofe Kolawole, the public relations officer of the national police force said he was buried yesterday.
According to Kolawole, his replacement has not been announced and formal announcements can be expected in the days to come.
Report has it that it was the late AIG was hypertensive.
Othman Abubakar, the spokesman of the Adamawa state police command, described the late Jinjiri as a highly committed and disciplined police officer during his life time.
He said that arrangements had been concluded to convey his body to Rano town in Rano local government area of Kano state as demanded by his family for his interment.
