APC in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, in Abuja on Friday, November 6, said even though the PDP-led Federal Government bled the nation’s treasury while in power, it has devised creative means to fulfill its campaign promises to Nigerians.
The statement reads: “Now, the Buhari administration has been busy putting into place measures that will make it possible to start the implementation of this project. Such measures include the introduction of the Treasury Single Account (TSA).
We are happy to inform Nigerians that as of the end of September 2015, over 1.4 trillion Naira – which hitherto was lying unproductively in various commercial banks – has been recovered and paid into the TSA.” The party said that the opposition party has already rushed to judgement on the issue without bothering to hear from them, who made the promise in the first place.
The Senate on Wednesday, November 4, went into a rowdy session when lawmakers of APC and PDP disagreed over the payment of 5,000 naira to unemployed Nigerian youths.
In the same vein Nigerians from all around the country took to social media to express their anger and disappointment over the rejected N5,000 payment for unemployed youths.
