President Muhammadu Buhari has joined other African leaders
at the opening ceremony of the China-Africa Corporation Forum in
Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Nigerian leader departed Abuja yesterday, December 3, just two days after returning from trips to Malta and France.
This time President Buhari has an unusually large travel team comprising more than 80 people.
Recently the president went to the 70th United Nations General Assembly two months ago with only about 30 persons.
The ministries and departments in Buhari’s administration are reportedly crowding into South Africa with the president on the pretext that the trip is aimed at attracting Chinese investment.
The President of China, Si Jin Ping, has also arrived in South Africa for the event.
With the latest trip, President Buhari has already done 14 foreign trips in 6 months since he took power in May 2015.
